Running jaguar sculpture by D P Carter

This incredibly stylised cast aluminium sculpture of a running jaguar is mounted on a marble block and has an applied white metal plaque that has been engraved "Jaguar 1951". The jaguar is stamped "D P Carter" on the underside of its outstretched leg. You just want to stroke this cat!

This is not a Jaguar car mascot and other than ascertaining that DP Carter was from Pontefract, I have not been able to find any other information about D P Carter.
